Ok, it's the moment you have been waiting for. After spending the last week listening to the hundreds of albums i've bought, I've very reluctantly reduced the list to 50 and I'm now at the stage of being sick of being indecisive on what the final order should be...
Alas, only 14 British Albums feature... I think slightly more than Ricky but again, it's mainly music being produced from the other side of the Atlantic..

Until yesterday I still had 150 albums vying for the top 50 and so I had to end up being ruthless.. I cut out any albums that were released in the last 4 months or so unless I was completely certain they were going to hold the test of time (sorry Wild Beasts and Voluntary Butler Scheme) and I also removed any albums that came out in the last 10 years but I have only discovered in the last 6 months (Andrew Bird, Ohbijou)

Some other notable albums that just missed out include New Pornographers, Bright Eyes, Jeffrey Lewis, Spoon, Death Cab for Cutie, Gruff Rhys, The Dears, Gorrilaz, British Sea Power and the Soft Hearted Scientists...

I wanted the 50 albums to kind of represent me and my last ten years... There are albums that are arguably better and if I looked over the list again in 20 minutes time, it would definitely change again...

Maybe that just goes to show you how flaky I am when it comes to making final decisions.... But being indecisive is what makes me true, full blooded, certified Mink.....
